 요새 내 영어 실력이 형편없다는 것을 자가검증하게 될 일들이 많았다. 토익 토플 성적은 제쳐두더라도, 적어도 세계시민으로 국제적 연대에 참여하려면 일단 의사소통이 되어야 할 것이 아닌가! 그렇다고 해서 다른 무언가를 열심히 공부한 적도 없으니 참으로 부끄러운 일이다.

 ㅈ파도 '일을 내려면' 어쨌든 자기계발에 힘써야 한다는, 적어도 자기계발적 주체들 이상으로 열심히 공부해야 한다는 생각이 자꾸 든다. 오늘 인트라넷에서 우연히 순수이성비판 영문판 파일을 구했는데, 몇가지 생소한 단어들을 제외하면 오히려 국문판보다도 깔끔하게 읽을 수 있지 않나 싶다. 특히 국문판에서는 도저히 일상에서 쓰이지 않을 것 같은 몇몇 개념들이 영어로는 오히려 체감되는 단어로 구성되어 있다. 하지만 나는 영단어에 약하다. 영문법도 모르고.. 일단 영어 부터 시작해야 겠다.
